WSET course at Wine Story

MANILA, Philippines - Wine Story Academy will conduct WSET Level 3 Award in Wines & Spirits, an internationally acclaimed course, at Wine Story Shangri-La’s Private Imperial Room on April 18, 19, 25 and 26. In four days, students will learn wine matters that will help them advise management and customers in beverage selection.

The course actually includes a comprehensive study of wine production techniques; from vinification, to bottling, to labeling. The course runs a total of 32 hours, spread evenly among the two consecutive weekends.

It will be taught by internationally-based WSET educator Francesca Martin, who will travel to Manila from Hong Kong specifically to teach the course and administer the exam. Francesca brings with her a wealth of more than 10 years of experience in the wine industry across three continents. She holds the WSET Level 4 Diploma, and is in the process of becoming a Master of Wine. She has worked with multiple global wine brands like Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite, Vega Sicilia, Ornellaia, Leeuwin Estate, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Maison Trimbach, E. Guigal, Donnafugata, Laroche and Petaluma.

 
The 2 1/2 hour certification exam consists of a theory section and a blind tasting. In recognition of their achievement and expertise in the field of wine and spirits, graduates will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
